What maker Dustin lacks in luck, he makes up for in pure talent. He began his leather working journey just like any other good ol’ hyper focus - by lurking in the subreddits and groups for 2 years. 😂
Like many others, Dustin’s awe of the master kept him from jumping in right away, remembering “I wanted to start but I really didn’t know what to start with nor what I really wanted to do until my wife and brother both bought me leatherworking starter kits. It was all down hill from there!”
After getting a hang of the basics, Dustin was inspired to begin making beads after admiring all the incredible milled beads out there but noticing a distinct lack of leather.
Immediately he fell in love with this idea of a layered leather bead and the amazing texture and uniqueness it offers in each individual bead. And so did we!
Dustin, like many of us, is here for more than just the gear. When I asked him about the best part of the EDC World he told me, “My favorite part of the EDC community is the diversity of groups that come together to form it! Knives, pouches, beads, knucks, wallets, flashlights and everything in between! As a leather worker I have the joy of making products to hold all that awesome gear!”
